Every system we sell records locally with no monthly fee. Here is when cloud is worth paying for.
Local recording: yours forever
A DVR/NVR hard disk or a camera's memory card stores weeks of footage with zero monthly cost. You own the recordings, they stay in your home, and playback works even if the internet is down.
When cloud makes sense
Cloud backup protects footage if the recorder itself is stolen or damaged. For most homes it's optional; for shops handling cash it can be worth a small monthly fee for the critical cameras only.
The no-subscription promise
Every Hikvision system we install works fully — live view, recording, phone alerts — without any subscription. Use our storage calculator to size the right hard disk instead.
